What most DVA patients come in with

Military service leaves a physical record. These are the patterns we see most often.

Chronic spinal & joint pain

Years of service accumulate. Disc injuries, facet dysfunction, sacroiliac problems and referred nerve pain are among the most common presentations we see — and they rarely improve significantly without targeted, appropriate treatment.

Old injuries that never fully healed

A shoulder separation from a fall. A knee that came good enough. Soft tissue injuries that were managed through duty rather than treated properly — and still affect your movement every day.

Lost strength and function

Pain limits movement. Limited movement stops training. That cycle compounds quickly without structured rehabilitation to interrupt it.

Pain that previous treatment hasn’t fixed

You’ve seen people before. It helped for a bit. But nothing has stuck — because treatment without rebuilding capacity rarely produces lasting results.

Treatment and rehab.
Under one roof.

At INVICTUS, the goal extends beyond pain reduction — the aim is to support the restoration of strength and function, not just symptom management.

At INVICTUS, chiropractic treatment and exercise rehabilitation run together. Your Department of Veterans’ Affairs funding covers both — and the aim is a body that doesn’t just stop hurting, but one that’s been strengthened and rebuilt to function under load.

For veterans, that matters. Addressing pain alone, without rebuilding the strength and capacity that was lost, rarely produces lasting results.

How DVA billing works

We handle everything. You bring your Veteran Card — we invoice DVA. No upfront costs, no gap fee, no paperwork for you to manage.

Gold Card

Covers all clinically necessary chiropractic — regardless of whether the condition is service-related. No gap. No approval needed for standard items.

White Card

Covers treatment for DVA-accepted conditions only. Your GP referral must specify the accepted condition. Call us if you’re unsure whether yours applies.

Treatment Cycle

A GP referral covers up to 12 sessions or one year — whichever comes first. Once complete, a new referral starts the next cycle. TPI Gold Card holders have different arrangements — ask us.

Your practitioner

Rudy Smith, Chiropractor — MSc Chiropractic (AECC)

18 years of clinical experience working with athletes, active individuals and complex musculoskeletal cases. Rudy understands that the physical demands of military service produce injury patterns that standard general practice rarely addresses properly.

His approach combines clinical assessment and chiropractic treatment with structured exercise rehabilitation — so DVA patients get both under one practitioner, one roof, one integrated plan.
