You’ve got pain or tension — now what? Is it better to get a massage or see a chiropractor?
The answer depends on what you're dealing with, what caused it, and what outcome you’re hoping for.
When to choose massage
Massage is a great option when:
Your muscles feel tight or overworked
You want to reduce post-training soreness
You’re looking for general recovery, not treatment
You don’t have an injury, just tension
Massage therapists focus on soft tissue — muscle, fascia, and tendons — using hands-on techniques to promote circulation and relaxation.

We now are offering limited massage appointments on Saturday mornings. Email (rudy@invictussportspine.com) or message on Instagram to book your spot!
When to choose a chiropractor
Chiropractors assess, diagnose, and treat musculoskeletal conditions. A sports chiropractor will:
Identify what’s causing your pain
Treat joints, nerves, and muscles
Provide hands-on treatment plus rehab
Help prevent future issues through movement-based care
If your pain is persistent, recurring, or affecting how you move or train, chiropractic is likely the better starting point.
Still not sure?
At Invictus, we’ll help you figure it out. We often work alongside massage therapists and refer clients back and forth depending on what they need.
If in doubt, start with an assessment. We’ll point you in the right direction!
