Not Your Typical Chiropractor: Why Rudy Does Things Differently

Let’s be honest — “chiropractor” can be a loaded word.

For some, it brings to mind quick crack-and-go appointments or outdated theories about spinal alignment and energy flow. But sports chiropractic — and especially the way Rudy practices at Invictus — is a very different experience.

If you’re looking for honest, evidence-based care without the fluff, here’s what sets Rudy apart.

UK-trained, with a sports focus from day one

Rudy completed his chiropractic training in the UK with a Bsc (Hons) Human Sciences and MChiro (Hons); where the curriculum places a strong emphasis on clinical reasoning, musculoskeletal science, and patient-centred care.

His postgraduate experience and continuing education have centred on sports performance, injury rehab, and evidence-informed treatment — not chiropractic philosophy or passive-only care models.

His approach is grounded in anatomy, physiology, biomechanics, and the current best available research. That means no gimmicks, no guesswork, and definitely no sales pitches.

We use the full toolkit — not just adjustments

Spinal manipulation can be useful — but it’s just one tool. Rudy integrates multiple hands-on and movement-based techniques to create personalised treatment plans based on what each patient actually needs.

Treatment may include:

  • Soft tissue therapy (including Active Release Technique, IASTM/Graston, and MET)

  • Joint mobilisation and manipulation (when appropriate)

  • Strength and rehab-based care tailored to your goals

  • Load management education and return-to-training planning

  • Low-level laser therapy (for certain soft tissue conditions)

No two people are the same, so no two treatments should be either.

No “crack-you-and-send-you-on-your-way” routines

At Invictus, we don’t run high-volume, five-minute adjustment appointments. Every session includes proper assessment, treatment, and — when appropriate — exercise or rehab-based guidance.

We won’t tell you your spine is out of alignment. We won’t tell you you need to come in three times a week for the rest of your life. What we will do is work with you to understand the root cause of your issue, and build a plan that gets you back to doing what you love — safely and confidently.

Built for people who move

Rudy works with people who care about how they move — whether that’s a runner with persistent calf tightness, a desk worker dealing with headaches, or a gym-goer who keeps tweaking their shoulder.

If you train, compete, work on your feet, or just want to stay strong and mobile as you age — this style of chiropractic care is built for you.

Bottom line: This isn’t about hype. It’s about results.

We don’t promise miracles. We don’t use scare tactics. We won’t give you a generic sheet of exercises and call it a day.

What we offer is real clinical care, a clear plan, and the kind of no-nonsense treatment that respects your time, your goals, and your body.
